Learning Objectives:

When it comes to real life issues as leading a team, resolving conflicts, and setting priorities, all skills are the needs for any PM to manage and lead his team. Coaching is the perfect tool to enhance the interpersonal skills not only of the PM, but of the working staff as well. This session will introduce the techniques used in Coaching and show how a PM can elevate and develop his soft-skills to become a better and efficient manager.

 

 

 

About the Speaker: NAJI SHELALA

Naji Shelala graduated in 1986 from the American University of Beirut (AUB) With a Bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering.

 

 

 

 

He continued to develop his career, pursued and received the following certifications:

  1. Assistant Arbitrator Degree – The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators
  2. Arbitrator Degree – Federation of Engineering Institution
  3. Certified Cost Professional – AACE international
  4. Project Management Professional – PMI
  5. Certified Leadership and Executive Coach –  ACTP
  6. Associate Certified Coach – ICF

Additionally, Naji is a certified instructor at the Lebanese Order of Engineers of Beirut. He has been training engineers since 2004 in subjects related to project management. Naji started in 1990 to get involved with several NGOs and engaged himself in social activities.  His continuous interaction with the youth since then has lead him to adopt the slogan:  “Building people is far more important than building stones”. Till this moment, Naji has trained more than 1200 prs; (Engineers, Managers, & teenagers).

Field of Expertise   His various disciplines in Engineering, Management, and Soft Skills, have been reflected widely in his training and coaching topics. His major subjects cover, time management, interpersonal skills, adapting to life changes, risk analysis, project management, behavioral changes, resolving conflicts, setting priorities, life balance, forming a team, strategic planning, life coaching, communications and leadership skills, and other topics.

Social Activities

Naji is engaged in social work since 1990, especially with mentally challenged people.

He was the Lebanese President in Faith and Light communities for 6 years, Co- Founder of Baitna association, Co-Founder of Afak Jadida, and active member in Equipes Notre Dame.
